Analysis and Strategies for Inclusive Cities
Urban-A delivers analysis and knowledge-building on complex and fragile environments, with the aim of contributing to achieving the goals set out in the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as to promote inclusive communities and cities. We do this by providing robust multi-sectoral and multi-level studies, scenario planning, and evaluations, informing robust policies, strategies and action on the ground.
Urban-A consists of experts with broad knowledge and extensive insight into the humanitarian and development fields, with work experience from the UN, (I)NGOs, public and private sector, and academia. Urban-A’s team holds expertise in social science, economy, urban development and planning, and law, with solid experience from East and Central Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, working in countries affected by conflict, natural disasters, poverty, migration and climate change. Areas of expertise include migration and forced displacement, urban crisis response, community protection, housing, land and property rights, socio-economic studies, rapid urban growth, and informal settlements, as well as programme design, evaluations and coordination.
